Do you have a website? Does your site allow users to call your contact number simply by clicking it? Having a call link to directly call your business from your mobile site, makes your site intuitive. If not, here’s a quick tutorial on how to make your contact number “call-able” on your mobile site.

Phone Number Call Link HTML Code

You’ll want to add the code as text to the location you want the link to appear:

<a href=”tel:341-123-4567″>341-123-4567</a>

The Href=tel: code creates the call link. This code tells the browser how to use the number. The “Tel: 341-123-4567“ code creates the HTML phone number. Whatever number is placed within the quotes is the number it will call.

Once completed, the phone number you’ve placed within the Href=tel: HTLML code should be highlighted as in the image below. Then, your phone number is linked and call-able from your mobile site.

Let’s take a quick review of our work on the mobile site. Once on the site, scroll to where you wanted your link to appear. Once there, click on the number and it should automatically open the number in “Dial” on your mobile phone.
